Bali inaugurates 3-days training programme

JAMMU, Aug 28: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today inaugurated a three days training progamme on ‘Role and Responsibilities of DDOs’ for Health Department being conducted by J&K IMPA&RD.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister laid emphasis on training initiatives taken by the Government under its ‘capacity building programme’ and said that such trainings will help in keeping the human resource well equipped with the best practices in the field and will also aid in digitalization of records.
The programme designed by IMPA&RD will expose the participants to the new reforms in the financial system and is required by DDOs to enhance their skills for effective and efficient functioning of offices, the Minister stated.
Bali Bhagat informed that the State Data Centre has been setup in J&K, adding that the project has large scope to collect data from various departments along with its safe storage. The Minister further said, “the successful implementation of e-governance projects can generate revenue and reduce wastage of time by bringing transparency and accountability”.
The programme is being conducted under the guidance of Vice Chairman and Director General, J&K IMPA&RD, P.K Jain. 40 DDOs from the Health Department are being trained in the programme under the supervision of course coordinator of Dr. Neena Bhalla, incharge of Centre for Infrastructure Development and Urban Affairs.
