JAMMU, Jan 7: Lambasting the leaders of National Conference (NC), Congress and other fringe organisations who have launched a vicious campaign against BJP, party spokesman, Balbir Ram Rattan today asked them to equip themselves with the facts related to massive development and record number of projects being initiated during four and half years rule of PM Narendra Modi and also those of BJP’s coalition Government in Jammu province.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that leaders of these parties are making false, baseless and misleading statements to hoodwink the people of this region for political gains but none of them would succeed in their game plan.
“The people are well aware that Jammu remained neglected during the Governments of NC and Congress and that it is only BJP which has delivered justice”, Balbir said and added that better these parties come out with their own achievements before raising fingers on BJP in matters of development and welfare schemes.
Balbir reminded these leaders about a number of projects including Shahpur Kandi Project, Multi purpose Ujh Barrage decision for construction of 14000 bunkers along Indo-Pak Border, setting up of IIT & IIM, Rs. 2000 crore package for PoJK displaced persons, free LPG connections under PM Ujjwala Yojana, Keerian Gandyal bridge on Ravi river, Udaan scheme for youth for self employment, Pardhan Mantri Awas Yojana, establishment of Medical Colleges at Doda, Kathua and Rajouri, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, sanctioning of Rs. 171 crore for cleaning and clearing holy river Devika, Bio Tech Park in Kathua, opening of Passport offices at Rajouri and Udhampur, upgradation of Jammu Airport, Modernization of Jammu Railway Station, enhancement of exgratia relief for civilians killed in border firing to Rs. 5 lakh, widening of Jammu-Akhnoor-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway, four lanning of Jammu-Akhnoor Highway, decision for running Metro, survey for Jammu-Poonch rail line, free LED bulbs to poor families under Ujjala scheme, border recruitment drive by raising 5 battalions for youth of border areas, adoption of villages under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, conducting of survey for Jammu-Poonch Railway Line, sanction and operation of New Kendriya Vidalaya at Raaya Sucheni, creation of Jammu as smart and modular city, multi level parking at Jammu bus stand, construction of rope way project (Gandola), setting up of Jambu Zoo, reopening of Jammu Ayurvedic College after 40 years, Ladli Beti Scheme, enhancement in old age and widow pensions to Rs 1000.
These are just a few to add to the knowledge of the leaders of NC and Congress, who have turned issueless and need proper homework. He said these parties are ashamed that they failed to take up Shahpur Kandi in hand during their tenure and kept it in cold storage as they do not want that agriculture horticulture and floriculture should get boost in Jammu.
