JAMMU, Jan 5: NC leader and former Chief Secretary Vijay Bakaya inaugurated the electric transformer donated by him at Laxmi Vihar,Tomal Bohri,Jammu.
The function was organised by the Laxmi Vihar Welfare Committee,Tomal Bohri, Jammu attended by huge gathering. After the inauguration the residents of Laxmi Vihar expressed their gratitude to Bakaya for fulfiling their long pending genuine demand of installing transformer in the vicinity.
The committee also presented a memorandum regarding various problems being faced by local dwellers such as deep drain covering whole area of Laxmi Vihar Colony and construction of by lanes and drains for which the estimates have already been framed by the JMC/UEED.
They also demanded electric poles and supply of drinking water to the area. Vijay Bakaya assured the people to redress the problems out of his CDF and other means. He was apprised of non availability of standby PHE suction motor at OHT Tomal that gets the time and again got damaged gets resulted for people, suffers for non availabilty of drinking water for the days together. Meeting was presided by the president of the committee R.L. Koul and function was conducted by Vinod Raina and Sanjay Bali.
Mr Bakaya at another function distributed medical aid cheques among the chronic patients of the community. M K Yogi working president NC, Pinky Bhat and others were present on the occasion.
