Baisakhi is not just a festival.

It is like a huge carnival.

It brings a new commemoration.

It marks the day of huge celebration.

It is the day of huge harvest.

It also marks the end of unrest.

It is the beginning of Sikh New Year.

The celebration happens with all near and dear.

There is the occurrence of many beautiful gatherings.

The sweetness is what everywhere rings.

Sahildeep Singh Raina

Whispers of the Unseen Wound

Beneath my smile, a shadow lingers,

A silent ache with unseen fingers.

It carves its name in quiet sighs,

A ghost that hides behind my eyes.

The world moves on in golden light,

Yet I remain in endless night.

A hollow chest, a mind confined,

A maze of echoes left behind.

No words escape, no tears take flight,

This sorrow walks alone at night.

A phantom touch, a fleeting trace,

A war unspoken on my face.

But pain is shy, it speaks in hush,

In quiet cracks, in gentle brush.

And though it stays, unseen, unknown,

It whispers soft-"You're not alone."

Kavita Dutt

Udhampur

A flower of hope

Lying on the bed;

her long brunette hair

flowed from the bed,

down to the floor.

Surrounded by the darkness

in the room,

her gaze of black velvet eyes,

lingered on the books

scattered across the table.

A sorrow shimmered

in her eyes-

"the ache of knowing

she could never

read them all".

She tore herself from

the sheets-

to escape the wild

rising sea inside her.

Leaving the passage behind,

her eyes found the familiar view-

"white flower greeting

her on the floor;

A silent message

from the sky,

to her soul".
