Baidyanath Institute signs MoU for research scholarship in Ayurveda

JAMMU, May 23: Vaidya Ram Narayan Sharma Institute of Ayurveda & Alternate Medical Education and Research and Innovation Centre has signed MoU for Ayurveda and Alternative Medical Education and Scholarship for Research with Bundelkhand University
The scholarship worth Rs 42 lakh will be given to the students wishing to do research.
Anurag Sharma, Joint Managing Director of Baidyanath informed that there is an urgent need of promoting and encouraging young and bright talents for research development and innovation in the field of Ayurveda. This agreement will promote and encourage students of Masters and Ph D scholars studying in various departments in the field of Ayurveda & Alternate Medical Education and Research and Innovation Centre, he added.
Further, he stated that this agreement would help and inspire young people who are working toward their Master’s and PhDs and conducting research across a range of fields. This scholarship fund will help poor and needy students to further their carrier and lack of funds will not hinder their research.
Vice-Chancellor of Bundelkhand University Mukesh Pandey and Registrar Vinay Kumar were also present during the signing of this agreement.
Mr Sharmas was of the view that students studying in other institutions across the country have to pay a fairly high cost to complete their courses. This scholarship shall encourage meritorious students to conduct research. This will help all systems of medicines to validate and give a big boost to Indian Systems of Medicine since all such research done will help India to export and prove that Indian Science can be comparable to other Medicines, he added.
