POONCH, Sept 25: In elections of National Conference (NC) here, Bagh Hussain Rathore has been elected unopposed as district NC president for Poonch.
S. Harcharan Singh Baby, NC vice president for Jammu Province and Ajaz Jan, provincial president Youth NC Jammu Province were Observers during elections in which candidature of Rathore was proposed by Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah and seconded by Abdul Ahad Bhat, both delegates.
Accordingly, the Observers declared Rathore elected unanimously.
On this occasion, Sharaz Malik was elected as district president Youth NC Poonch and Nirmal Sharma as district president NC Women Wing Poonch.
Jan and Baby congratulated Rathore, Malik and Nirmal Sharma on their being unanimously elected hoping that they will further improve NC at grass roots level.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Qazi Beigh, Ch. Syed, Tanveer Ahmed Khan, Ch. Nazir, Mumtaz Bajar, Parvez Bukhari, Naida Altaf, Tahira Tabassum, Najar Din, Munshi Khan and others.
