Srinagar, Oct 4: Former chairman of Houseboat Owners Association, Azim Tuman, passed away early today after a prolonged illness.
Tuman, passed away early today at his Bagwanpora residence on the banks of Nageen Lake. He has remained chairman of Houseboat Owners Association for a long time and has contributed immensely for the welfare of the community. He was owner of Mascot houseboats in Nageen lake.
His funeral prayer was offered at Khan Bagh, near Lal Bazar Police Station in Srinagar this afternoon which was attended by thousands of people including relatives, friends and well wishers. He was later laid to rest in Malkhah graveyard.
The condolences will be offered at Nageen residence of Tumans. His fourth day would be observed on Sunday and special prayers will be held at 11 a.m. at his grave in Malkhah near Zaroo Gun Factory.
