JAMMU, Mar 20: A delegation of All J&K Ayurvedic Congress led by Dr T.R Gupta met Vijay Kumar, Advisor to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik and raised demands of AYUSH professionals of J&K.
The deputation demanded provincial directorates as recommended by State Finance Commission, regularisation of 60 non-sanctioned dispensaries and various non-sanctioned schemes, provision of staff for single handed 134 dispensaries, provision of administrative staff for newly created districts, provision of technical and non-technical staff for Government Ayurvedic College, re-designation of administrative staff, provision of two posts of B grade specialist at each district headquarter and election of Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicine under J&K Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act 1959.
The Advisor assured the delegation that meaningful initiative will be undertaken to streamline the department and subsequently settle most of issues concerning Indian System of Medicine Professionals.
