JAMMU, Aug 19 : Stressing on following Ayurveda in day to day life, Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi said that the age old system of traditional medicine promotes healthy living by using natural herbs and adopting a lifestyle based upon the needs of the body. He said the science of Ayurveda has been developed by sages’ and guides on how to maintain health as well as fight illnesses through therapies, massages, herbal medicines, diet control and exercises.
“The Ayurveda promotes holistic living which is in sync with Mother Nature and by following the laid down principles of this science we can live a disease free life,” he added.
He was speaking at the centenary function of Arogya Ratnakar Aushadhalaya, here today.
Yudhvir Sethi was chief guest and Dr. V.D.S Jamwal, Ex- Director ISM was guest of honour at the function.
The Ayurvedic Medical Centre which was started by Raj Vaidya Kaviraj Pandit Parshuram Nagar has completed hundred years of service to the humanity. The age old tradition of serving the patients is still being carried on by the grandchildren of Raj Vaidya Parshuram Nagar and Dr. Vikas Nagar along with other family members provide consultancy and medicines at very nominal fees.
Yudhvir also inaugurated a free medical camp being organized in the memory of Raj Vaidya Kaviraj Pandit Parshuram Nagar.
Appreciating efforts of the Ayurvedic centre, Yudhvir said that the family has been doing service to mankind for the last hundred years and patients throng the dispensary from far off places, adding that the name of Nagar family has become a household name in the region for affordable and reliable health care.
