JAMMU, Feb 21: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages released a book compiled by Ayaz Rasool Nazki, a noted poet, writer and historian of the State.
Prof. Hamidi Kashmiri, former Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University, who is also a poet and writer, was the chief guest on the occasion while Kashmiri writer and poet Farooq Nazki, former Deputy Director General, Doordarshan presided over the function.
A noted social, political and cultural activist in English Dr. Altaf Hussain was the guest of honour. The book has been dedicated to life and works of noted Kashmiri intellectual, poet Moulvi Assad, who has made a significant contribution to Persian literature and calligraphy art.
