AWWA organizes ‘Veer Naris’ Sammelan

JAMMU, May 6:   Army Wives Welfare Association, an NGO working for the welfare of the ‘ Veer Naris’, widows and their dependents, organised a sammelan at Jadhunath Sainik Institute Chandimandir Cantonment today.
About 150 `Veer Naris’ of Chandigarh, Ropar, Mohali and Panchkula districts attended the event.
Regional President, Army Wives Welfare Association, Western Command Anita Singh closely interacted with Veer Naris and felicitated each one of them with gifts.  She also assured the `Veer Naris’ that it was our duty and Dharma as Army Wives Welfare Association, to assist them in every possible manner.
Grievance and Pension cell, Medical camp, Ex-serviceman Contributory Health Scheme and Canteen Store Department stalls were established at the Jadhunath Sainik Institute to provide a platform to the “Veer Naris” for interacting and redressing their problems.
Army Wives Welfare Association remains committed towards the well being and rehabilitation of the “Veer Naris” in recognition of the supreme sacrifices made by their gallant husbands, brothers and sons in service of the Nation.
AWWA has been active in organising a variety of activities, Medical camps, providing financial assistance and employment to the “Veer Naris”. It remains passionately focused towards rendering emotional, moral and financial assistance to the “Veer Naris” of the Nation. The sammelan provided an opportunity for interaction and reddressal of the grievances of these ladies and their dependents.
