Awareness programme on drug abuse held

JAMMU, Aug 4: SIRAS Higher Secondary School Bishnah in collaboration with G.S Sports Club organised a programme ‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Sports’.
Sourabh Prasher, SDPO R.S Pura was the chief guest on this occasion while Deepak Pathania, SHO Bishnah was the guest of honour while Social Activist and Chairman of Kotli Colony Welfare Committee, Chandan Datta was special guest.
Advising students to remain away from drugs, the chief guest asked them to be focused and honest about their life and do hard work to achieve goals.
SHO Bishnah, Deepak Pathania in his address urged the students, teachers and parents to come forward and help Police in its war against drug menace. He spoke at length about the Jammu Police’s initiatives like Special Helpline No. 9086100100 for sharing information on drugs as well as the recently launched ‘Care for Your Buddy’ programme.
Also various students of 12th standard who had brought laurels in class 12 exams were given medals on this occasion.
