POONCH, Sept 27: An awareness and capacity-building camp under Seva Parv was organised today at the Fruit and Vegetable Market, Kankote, Poonch by the office of AGMO Poonch.
The programme was attended by DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhter, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Sharma, and ADDC Poonch Pankaj.
Around 150 participants, including farmers, traders, members of self-help groups, students of Degree College Poonch, and beneficiaries of different units, participated in the event. District officers from various allied departments were also present.
The event began with a plantation drive in the AGMO office complex, where saplings were planted by the dignitaries.
Later, AGMO Poonch Charan Kamal Singh highlighted various departmental schemes under JKCIP, HADP, and other initiatives.
He urged the participants to become job creators instead of job seekers.
Officers from allied departments including CHO and CAO also shared details of their schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner spoke about the scope of horticulture marketing and motivated participants to explore new opportunities.
The DDC Chairperson expressed gratitude to AGMO Poonch for organizing the programme and called it a significant step in spreading awareness among the people.
