JAMMU, Mar 15: A one day awareness camp was organized by Doakh at Swami Mahesh Bharti, Satsangh Ashram, Muthi, near here today. During the camp people were informed about the various philanthropic activities taken up by Doakh which include providing of school bags and other stationary items among the children belonging to poor families of migrant labourers.
The camp among others was attended by president of Doakh Sushil Tickoo, vice president Nancy Jalali, N M Gadroo etc.
Doakh has adopted some children of migrant labourers in Muthi. These children mostly women used to roam in streets or do some odd jobs like picking rag. The volunteers of the organization led by Deepak Tiwari not only motivated the parents of these children to put them in schools but also arranged free tuition for them for last two years.
