Aware people about welfare schemes: Randhawa to cadre

JAMMU, Aug 1: State Secretary BJP J&K and State Convenor ‘Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojna’, Ch. Vikram Randhawa along with Co-Convenor, Hari Om today visited Akhnoor and Udhampur areas and stressed upon party cadres to make public aware of welfare schemes launched by the Union government led by PM, Narendra Modi.
Speaking on these occasions Randhawa said that BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi has launched many welfare schemes for the poor and downtrodden section of the society.
“During on the ongoing pandemic which rendered many people jobless and keeping in view the miseries of the poorest among poor the government decided to provide free ration to the needy people,” he maintained adding that poor families under AAY and PHH across nation are getting free ration from the last three months and will continue to get the same upto Diwali.
The BJP leader said that 80 crore families of the nation are being benefitted through this scheme and 278 lakh metric ton ration would be disbursed among them.
He further said that it is the duty of party leaders, workers and cadres to ensure that the scheme is implemented properly and every family which falls in the category for this is benefitted.
Others present on the occasion were Dr Krishan Lal, Rajeev Sharma and Pawan Gupta (former MLAs); Surat Singh, DDC Vice Chairman; Suresh Sharma, Bhushan Bral, Sharda Bhau, Prikshit Singh, Amit Sharma, Om Prakash—all DDC members; BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanches, Panches, Municipal Committee Chairman, Vice Chairman and Councilors, District President, Jagdish Bhagat; Puran Chand, District President Udhampur and Karan Singh, Incharge Akhnoor district.
