SRINAGAR, June 22: President, Awami Mahaz Bandipora, Nazir Ahmad Malik today expressed dismay over the lackadaisical attitude of the elected representatives and said that these people have failed to develop the Bandipora district on modern lines.
Mr Malik made these observations while interacting with different delegations of people that called on him a party spokesman said. He said that the locals of Bandipora are fed up with traditional politicians and have pinned the hope on Mr Malik for a better and prosperous future.
The spokesman said that Mr Malik appealed the people to come under a single platform for the betterment and overall development of Bandipora. He took a dig at the legislators saying that these people have failed to transform the promises into actions when it comes to the larger common good.
“Bandipora is lagging behind in every respect as there are no roads, no communication and even the water supply system is not working properly. People are up against many odds and the government is acting as a mute spectator,” Malik said.
