Awaaz Foundation holds free medical camp

JAMMU, Sept 23: Awaaz Foundation and its team of doctors organized a free medical camp at Village Chak Marar, Ward No 6 in Bishnah, Jammu.
S K Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr J G Langer, Retd Professor and HoU Surgery, GMC Jammu, who is the founder and Life Time Managing Trustee of the Awaaz Foundation along with Dr Sham Jurangel organized the camp.
During the camp, about 204 patients were treated and provided free medical consultancy and medicines.
CA Ajay Gupta, Chairman of J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI and CA Ashwani Khajuria, Executive Member of J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI also joined the camp.
The Awaaz Foundation has been organizing such medical camps in rural areas for a long time now. Their vision is to provide the medical consultancy and medicines to people who live in these backward and far flung areas and can’t afford a visit to any private doctor or nursing home.
