JAMMU, May 20: Chairman Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan Party (DSSP) and former MP Choudhary Lal Singh while expressing his anguish over rising COVID deaths urged the Lt Governor to augment health infrastructure at village level.
In a separate letter to LG Manoj Sinha, Lal Singh said that it’s the time to make health infrastructure available at local level in rural areas and make all PHCs, SDHs, CHCs and dispensaries equipped with oxygen and a Medical officer in each unit.
He expressed surprised on the Government announcement for the recruitment of health workers and Medical officers conditionally on temporary basis for only COVID crisis. He said the Government must assure security to these health workers and their families in case of any untoward happens, and also regularized their service after the crisis.
Singh lamented that daily arising number of casualties in Jammu region speak volumes of the mismanagement and actually the utter failure of those at helm of affairs. He asked all the party rank and file to reach out to the families in the distress and provide them the best possible support.
