JAMMU, Jan 27: “Bharat Ke Bahadur Bachche”–a first kind of audio book inspired by the true stories of the National Bravery Award winning children was released recently in Jaipur International Film Festival.
The audio book is a tribute by Nupur Sandhu to her father, late Squadron Leader, RK Gupta, who wrote a book on these children in 1983. Then, the book was released by then the Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Nupur Sandhu also wrote on the same subject in 2005.
This book is in Hindi. The narration of the book has been done by RJ Nishant Vikram and Music has been composed by Iqbal Singh Hundul. This audio book is first of its kind and also covers the kidnapping story of Nupur.
“With these stories, my aim is to inspire not only visually impaired children but all those who can’t read due do some disability. I want to tell them that we all have a solider within; we have to just recognize it,” Nupur Sandhu said while presenting the audio-books to the students of National Association of Bilnd, RK Puram and Saksham Foundation, Noida.
The book cover carries a picture of Master Aryan who lost his life to a car accident. He represents the innocence that got brutally thrashed by an adult and bravery is of his parents Mrs and Mr Hanu Roj, Director of Jaipur International Film Festival.
All the children heard the stories in presence of Prashant Singh, Secretary, Shantha (Principal), Meenakshi (Program Head), Abdul, Online Portal Manager and Bansal (treasurer). They all said that the book is a first of its kind ever received by them and every story of the book carries a deep message.
On the Republic Day, all 23 schools of visually impaired attached to Daisy Portal with Saksham Foundation, that is around 27000 individuals will enjoyed these stories.
The book is supported by the Rotary club of Indore Marshals, Rotary Club of Sagar Phoenix and Rotary Club of Randolph Metrocom of USA.
