JAMMU, Jan 27: A youth allegedly committed suicide today by consuming some poisonous substance in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
“Rohit Verma (18) son of Sham Lal, resident of Gurha Brahmana (Akhnoor) was found unconscious at his residence,” a police official said. He said the boy was shifted to GMC Jammu by the family members but doctors there declared him as brought dead.
He said that the body was shifted for postmortem while Akhnoor police had initiated inquest proceedings in the case.
