AUDA lists demands

JAMMU, Apr 23:A meeting of Ayurvedic and Unani Doctors Association (AUDA) was held here today under the chairmanship of Dr Varinder Sharma.
The meeting highlighted the demands of ISM. It demanded sanctioned posts of 45 Dawasazs be created in 45 Ayush Dispensaries in the State.
The meeting also demanded sanction of the posts of Panchkarma, Yog and Shakh Sutra in Government Ayurvedic Hospitals and appointment of ISM doctors by PSC instead of backdoor.
The meeting however said that the department has made all round development during the tenure of Abdul Kabir Dar as Director and expressed the hope that he will successfully put these demands before the Government also.
It said 87 ISM institutions were created in the State under his stewardship while 200 posts of Medical officers were also created by corresponding reduction of assistant surgeons posts from Health Department and 33 dispensaries were created under NABARD State plan besides launching of National Ayush.
A trend took place in Ayush with the shifting of patients from Allopathic to Ayurvedic hospitals it added.
