Attempt to murder case worked out; 4 arrested, snatched car recovered

JAMMU, Feb 13: RS Pura Police worked out attempt to murder case with the arrest of four accused.
As per police sources, around one week back an information was received at Police Station RS Pura that a businessman Kamal Sharma was attacked with sharp edged weapons and his car was also snatched by some unknown persons at village Gagian when he was heading towards his residence.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 20/2021 under Sections 341, 147, 148, 149, 504, 212 and 109 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and hunt was launched to nab the attackers.
The victim was also rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
During the course of investigation, special teams of Police Station RS Pura were constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
A team led by SHO Police Station RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma connected various links and arrested four accused involved in the case.
The arrested persons were identified as Lovepreet Kumar alias Preet, son of Raj Kumar, Aman Sharma, son of Yog Raj Sharma, Ajay Kumar, son of Bodh Raj and Pankaj Kashyap alias Panku, son of Vijay Kumar.
During sustained questioning, accused confessed their crime and on their disclosure the snatched car along with sharp edged weapons were recovered.
These notorious criminals were habitual of indulging in criminal activities since long. Ajay Kumar was the gang leader and a history sheeter already involved in many cases.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
