Srinagar, Oct 10: Assistant Commissioner Revenue has sought action taken report from Tehsildar South and SHO Kral Khud Srinagar with regard to the affairs of Ganesh Mandir situated at Habba-Kadal, Srinagar.
Action Taken Report has been sought in response to the representation filed by Ganesh Mandir Prabhandak Samiti (GMPS) through its General Secretary alleging therein that some persons for the last about four years are trying to cause damage to the Mandir and its allied properties by way of criminalizing the issue through mis-information and mis-representation.
The representation was submitted to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in the month of August informing that the temple owns valuable assets in shape of land both agriculture/non-agriculture, orchards and buildings in different parts of the Valley.
It was submitted before the Divisional Commissioner that some persons are carrying a vicious propaganda against the members of the Committee of the temple so that they can achieve their vicious intentions without any problem and hesitation.
Taking action on the representation Assistant Commissioner in the officer of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has addressed a communication No. Div. Com/MLA/05/2017 dated 25.8.2017 to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar along with the representation of GMPS for looking into the matter and for taking appropriate action as provided under law. “The action taken report may be furnished to this officer within a week’s time positively”, communication reads.
Following this another communication has been passed from the office of Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Srinagar on 27.9.2017 under no. DMS/RD/Misc/Mig/713-15 addressed to Tehsildar South and SHO Kral Khud, Srinagar along with the representation of GMPS directing both the officials to verify the contents of representation and take appropriate action as warranted under law. “The action taken be furnished to this officer for onward submission within week’s time positively”.
