ATM fraudster arrested, duped money recovered

JAMMU, Mar 17: Bahu Fort and Bhatindi Police jointly arrested ATM fraudster and recovered duped money from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bahu Fort by a person namely Ghulam Nabi Wani of Gool District Ramban stating that he was cheated by some unknown person by swapping his ATM card and made withdrawl of an amount of 40000 of his hard earned money from his account.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, special police teams of Police Station Bahu Fort under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari were constituted.
The team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by Incharge Police Post Bathindi PSI Mohd Younis Khanday did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested the fraudster, who was identified as Mohd Shabir alias Shabbu, son of Zakir Hussain of Hyatpura Mangnar District Poonch.
On his disclosure, Rs 30000 along with 5 ATM cards were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
