Earlier in April this year, Taiwanese Technology Company ASUS launched its new smartphone, ZenFone Max Pro (M1) in India. At that time, the smartphone was launched in 2 variants in India- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB onboard storage which was priced INR 10,999 and the other was 4 GB RAM + 64 GB onboard storage which was priced INR 12,999. These smartphones were launched especially to compete with Xiaomi smartphones Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.

However, what many people missed at that time was the news that along with these two variants of ZenFone Max Pro (M1), ASUS had also announced a 6 GB variant of the smartphone. But, this variant was not launched back then. Since the two available variants are very much in demand amongst India buyers, the company felt that it would be a smart decision to launch the new 6 GB variant now itself.
Not only this, they have customised this new variant according to the wishes and demands of Indian buyers. And, finally at the launch of ASUS ZenFone 5Z that the company announced a tentative launch date of the 6 GB + 64 GB internal storage variant of ZenFone Max Pro (M1). This much-awaited smartphone is all set to launch in India and will be exclusively available on July 26 at Flipkart for purchase at 12 pm. The price for this 6GB variant is fixed at INR 14,999.
While many people think that the changes in the RAM and internal storage are the only differences in the new variant and the already available variant. Well, this is not the case. Like mentioned earlier, this new variant has some changes to make it more favourable for the Indian buyers and so, the prospective buyers should expect some small and big changes in the 6 GB + 64 GB internal storage variant of ZenFone Max Pro (M1).
The major change in this new variant will be seen in camera settings. In the 6 GB variant, the rear dual camera setting will feature a primary sensor of 16 GB megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary sensor of 5 megapixels. Not only this, the front camera will also feature a 16 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. We say this is the major change because the 3 GB/ 4 GB variants feature the rear dual camera setup of 13 megapixels + 5 megapixel and the front camera of 8 megapixels. So, now the buyers of the 6 GB variant are definitely getting a better deal.
