Sir,
What we witness today in our State Assembly is not a healthy trend in public domain. It is a matter and concern that precious time is being lost, without a business being transacted in the Assembly. Whatever effort takes place in this direction goes without the discussion that it normally should entail. Not just does it seem to be a wastage of public money, it also seems to be a discouragement of the hopes that we have from this State. The Govt. seems to be in a ‘limbo’ unaware of what to do and what not to do.
The details of what happens in the Assembly as reported stretch the limits of decency not just in words but in actions too. Our Assembly members seem to have lost the basic idea of what brings them to this august house that is public service.
I request all the members cutting across party lines to get together and help in smooth functioning of the Assembly. This will be their greatest service to the people of this State of Jammu and Kashmir.
