Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Sept 2: Thathri Development Front (TDF) has demanded a new Assembly Constituency for entire Sub-Division Thathri in District Doda.
In a handout Front president, Kuldeep Kumar Rao said, as the Sub-Division Thathri is divided into Bhadarwah and Inderwal Assembly constituencies it is lacking basic facilities.
He also appealed to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik in this regard and claimed that Thathri is the most backward and undeveloped Sub-Division of the State. Rao further demanded district status and a separate tourism authority for Thathri as it now comprises of 5 Tehsils.
He said that it is very unfortunate that Tehsil Kahara, Tehsil Thathri and Tehsil Phagsoo of Sub-Division Thathri are attached with Inderwal Constituency which is 65 km from Sub-Division Thathri & 30 km from District Headquarter Kishtwar while Tehsil Chiralla, Tehsil Bhella and four Panchayats of Kahara Tehsils of Sub-Division Thathri are attached with Bhadarwah Constituency which is very injustice with the poor people of the Sub-Division.
