JAMMU, June 16: A man injured in an assault case in Gho Manhasa area of city outskirts, today succumbed to his injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police official, on May 25, a clash erupted between two families at Tarochak (Gho Manhasa) over some issue during which both the parties attacked each other with lathies, spades and logs. He said in the clash, many persons of both the families had received injuries.
“Among the injured persons were Kamal Choudhary (60) son of Durga Dass, resident of Tarochak, who had been under treatment since May 25 at GMCH Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries today at about 12:30 PM”, the official said, adding, body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after getting conducted postmortem.
The Pounichak police had taken cognizance of the matter, he further added.
