ASKPC’s concern over encroachment of temples’ land in Valley

JAMMU, Mar 18: The executive body of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in its meeting today held under the chairmanship of its president H L Chatta expressed grave concern over the encroachment of shrines and temples land in various areas of Valley including district Bandipora, Kulgam and Baramulla.
It said that the temple land has been encroached by Government agencies in Kulgam district while the land of temple at Seer Jagir in Sopore area of Baramulla district has also been grabbed by mafia.
The meeting said that at Baramulla the building of Sanatan Dharam Sabha has been encroached by Ex Joint Director Education and Government has failed to restore the same. The land of Ram Kund -Sita Kund has also been encroached at Baramulla. The meeting also criticized the Government for not providing facilities to the PM’s package employees putting up at transit camps in Valley.
