JAMMU, July 31: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) under the chairmanship of its president advocate Ravinder Raina held a meeting here, today to take stock of the political developments in the State, especially in Kashmir Valley.
The Executive expressed serious concern over the most unreasonable recent statements of some political leaders who while out of power come out with terrorists and militants friendly statements and shamelessly take side of anti social elements.
It said the former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has described militant outfit Hizb as an association of Kashmiris seeking a political solution to Kashmir problem is ridiculous and one wonders upon his irrational statement when Hizb is Pakistan’s patronage funded and ISI supported terrorist group having ventured destruction and devastation in Kashmir Valley.
Advocate Ravinder Raina, president ASKPC wondered at the statement given by the former Chief Minister who had taken an oath by Constitution of India and coming in praise of both the Hizbullah as well as misguided and indoctrinated Kashmiri gun toting youth.
He said how could a line lesser bad and more bad be drawn by him by saying that every gunman in Kashmir should not be painted with Musa’s brush, that would mean easy exit of India from Kashmir.
Dr T K Bhat , general secretary, ASKPC in his address said that for peace loving citizens of the State and the countrymen, anyone holding gun and practicing terror is India’s enemy whether he belongs to Musa’s Al Qaeda or Hizbullah. He said singing songs of terror and sedition with the intent to soothing the ears of anti India elements in the Valley was fraught with dangerous consequences which ultimately would lead to conditions similar to Syria.
C L Bhat, vice president , ASKPC said let us pray that good sense prevails upon the main stream political leaders to desist from speaking anti India language and instead organize their political activities to counter Jehadis and anti India forces which currently are ruling the roost in few districts of Valley. They should muster courage and develop political insight in the larger interests of the State, he added.
R K Wangnoo, senior vice president ASKPC, Veena Gurtoo, woman wing president ASKPC, Ravi Raina, youth president, B L Handoo and S K Raina also addressed the meeting.
