JAMMU, June 17: Prominent Kashmiri Pandit and veteran leader Hira Lal Chatta passed away here after a brief illness.
President of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference Hira Lal Chatta was hospitalized following chest pain few days ago in the Government Medical College Hospital.
Following deterioration in health condition, he was admitted in J&K Medicity. Since then he was surviving on life support system and according to doctors was not responding to the treatment.
Chatta passed away this evening, said close family friends.
Several prominent leaders of the community and his well wishers have mourned the sad demise of the veteran leader.
