National Project workshop concludes at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, June 17: BPR & D, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi sponsored Project workshop was conducted in the State Police Academy by experts from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration, Punjab, Chandigarh.
The Project allotted to MGSIPA, Punjab is aimed at “Developing Pre-Promotional courses for various ranks of Police” Officers to empower them with knowledge, skills and differential capabilities required to meet next level of higher responsibilities.
In this nation wide project, 28 States of India and one Union Territory (Chandigarh) will be covered for collection of data from police personnel of various ranks and other stakeholders including Judges, Prosecutors, civil society and retired police officers etc. The two-day workshop at SKPA, Udhampur involved 400 police officers from constables to Dy SPs.
The valediction of the workshop was attended by V K Bhawra, Addl Director General of Police Punjab, Director Academy Danesh Rana, IGP, Darshan Singh, SSP (Retd) Punjab Police, Ravinder Rao and RC Kotwal, ADs and Manzar Khayam, Course Coordinator of this Course.
