ASKPC delegation calls on RRC

JAMMU, Apr 2: A delegation from All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) and Shree Sanatan Dharam Yuvak Sabha, led by its president, Moti Lal Malla, met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC), Dr. Arvind Karwani at his office here, today.
The delegation comprised the general secretary, organizing secretary, publicity secretary, vice presidents, and advisors, while Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Relief organization were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting a number of important issues concerning the displaced Kashmiri Pandits were discussed. It , while demanding dignified return and rehabilitation of Pandits urged for the preparation of a comprehensive and concrete roadmap for the same.
The delegation said this plan should be developed in consultation with the community and then presented to the Central Government.
The delegation requested the enhancement of relief assistance for displaced families and emphasized the need for an expanded employment package for Kashmiri Pandit youth, particularly in Central Government departments. They also proposed increasing the Rs 400 per month relief for children in displaced families to Rs 1,000 per month to meet the rising cost of living.
Besides, the delegation demanded loan facilities for over aged displaced Pandit youth, allotment of land to Kashmiri Pandit youth under Start-Up policies in Kashmir, publication of the inventory of left-behind immovable properties of displaced Kashmiri Pandit families, similar to the public listing of Temples and Shrines, inclusion of aged, disabled, and widowed displaced Kashmiri Pandits under the Old Age Pension Scheme.
It demanded restoration of the supply of flour along with rice and sugar to displaced families, which was stopped unexpectedly besides health insurance coverage for displaced relief holders and development of a playground at Jagti for multipurpose sports activities repair and renovation of TRTs, adjustment of specially-abled displaced Kashmiri Pandit employees in PM package in Jammu and extension of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) form submission dates and Ayushmaan card services at different centers.
