ASI among 5 injured in grenade attack

Srinagar, July 30: Four security personnel including an Assistant Sub Inspector and a civilian were injured in a grenade attack at Khanpora bridge in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district this afternoon.

Militants lobbed a grenade at the security personnel deployed at Khanpora bridge in the afternoon during which four security personnel including an Assistant Sub Inspector and a civilian were injured.
The injured were admitted to the GMC Hospital Baramulla. They have been identified as ASI Kisku, constables Dayananad Kumar, Kamlesh Singh and Gautam Mandal.
The area was cordoned off after the attack and a hunt was launched to nab the militants behind the attack.
