Asha workers submit memorandum to NHM Mission Director

JAMMU, Aug 30: A deputation of Asha workers Union Jammu an affiliate unit of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) led by S P Kesar senior leader of State Committee of CITU today submitted a memorandum to Mission Director, National Health Mission J&K in his office chamber through Dr Jatinder Mehta , State Manager Asha.
The memorandum while highlighting various issues of Asha workers demanded Rs 10,000 as monthly pay for them with + 50 bonus as wages on the pattern of Andhara Pradesh Government or minimum wages of Rs 390 per day as per Central Government notification of UT status, stopping of harassment of Asha workers, providing of smart phones, identity cards, payment of pending arrears of incentives, Rs five lakh accidental insurance to Asha dependents and cover under pension, gratuity and other social security schemes.
