JAMMU, Jan 5: Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh today organized a programme to launch January batch admissions for the students of Jammu and Kashmir.
Priya Sethi, Minister of State (MoS) for Information, Education and Culture was the chief guest on the occasion. Kuldeep Raj Gupta, vice chairperson, State Advisory Board for Development of Pahadi speaking people; Narottam Sharma, State convener BJP, RTI Cell and Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Director Admissions, Aryans Group, were also present on the occasion.
For January Batch Admiss-ions, Priya Sethi launched the poster and toll free helpline number i.e. 1800 30000 388 for the students. Interested students can give a missed call on the same to get more information about the admission criteria.
While launching the poster, Sethi said that both the technical Universities i.e IKG-PTU, Jalandhar and MRS-PTU, Bathinda have already issued the notification regarding the January Batch admissions in Punjab. As per the new decision by both the Universities the students would be able to save their six valuable months, however the course would be completed in same duration as prescribed by AICTE.
She further said that with this decision, the Universities have taken an initiative to make Punjab an Education Hub. In foreign Universities there are already summer and winter sessions but in India we have only July batch.
Sanjeev Bhardwaj said that this new scheme would help thousands of students of the region who could not take admission in July 2015 Batch due to any reason. Not only Punjab, but the students of other States also specially HP, Haryana and J&K where no such opportunity is available, can also take benefit of this scheme.
Sanjeev added that under January 2016 batch students can take admission in various courses like B Tech, Leet, MBA, BBA, BCA in Aryans till January 18. Students who are already admitted in 1st semester in other Colleges or Universities can also directly migrate in 2nd semester in Aryans.
He further said that admissions would be open only for few seats which remained vacant against the AICTE sanctioned intake in July 2015 Batch.
