JAMMU, Dec 21: Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh launched its “January 2014 Batch” for re-appear and drop-out students here today.
This was disclosed by Varinder Kaur, Coordinator, Aryans Groupof Colleges during a press conference here this afternoon.
She informed that January batch initiated by Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, is acting like a boon for Jammu students as they are not getting this opportunity in J&K or any other State.
Kour said that earlier to this scheme, many students had to drop 1 year due to late result or re-appear in their previous courses. But with the help of this new scheme, students can be benefited a lot, she added.
Giving more information, Varinder said that as per the new decision by PTU, the students would be able to save their six valuable months, however the course would be completed in same duration as prescribed by AICTE/ PTU.

Punika Mahajan, Coordinator, Aryans Group of Colleges said that many J&K students took admission in various colleges in India under various scholarship schemes in July 2013 Batch. But the students had to return back to J&K due to non-satisfaction with their college or any other reason without completing their studies. She added that these students need not to wait for another one year to take admission in the college where they want.
She further said that admissions would be open only for few seats which remained vacant against the AICTE sanctioned intake in July 2013 Batch. Mahajan further elaborated that students who are already admitted in 1st semester in other Colleges or Universities can also directly migrate in 2nd semester in Aryans.
