JAMMU Apr 6: Former Minister and BJP spokesperson, Priya Sethi today said that those in favour of Article 370 or 35-A also know that these laws had been protecting a handful few dynasties and doing no good to common people. She said this while addressing series of public meetings here today.
Speaking at a well attended meetings , Priya Sethi said that had Article 370 or 35A been so powerful it could have made common people from Jammu, Kashmir or Ladakh chief ministers of J&K State but only the Abdullahs or Muftis could hold these offices while rest of the people were either made to sit in the feet of these dynastic leaders or run across the State showering praises on their undeclared Kings and Queens like stooges.
She said that it’s BJP which is committed to empower common people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and give them opportunities to head their State irrespective of where they come from and which region or religion they belong to. People of Jammu and Kashmir must get awakened and stop getting swayed away by false propaganda and emotional blackmailing by these parties.
Had there been a iota of truth in these articles of constitution being in favour of Jammu and Kashmir young boys and girls would not have gone to fat off places in search of jobs, healthcare and education or businesses. World and it’s businesses would have descended here to give ample opportunities to educated boys and girls who have been rendered helpless by these handful of politicians who are grinding their axes.
Priya Sethi added that let a handful of politicians in Jammu working as stooges of NC, PDP or Congress cry hoarse but never will India get two Prime Ministers. If NC, PDP and Congress can not have party presidents other than Abdullahs, Muftis or Gandhis how can their leaders seek two PMs or presidents for a mighty nation like India. These statements are mere election gimmicks which should be dismissed at their very onset, she said.
