At last, the Bhartiya Janata Party decided to be soft on Article 370. It has buried the said Article deep into the earth. Dr Jatindra Singh the M.O.S. in P.M’s office had made a statement that Article 370 has caused more harm than good and a debate shall be held on the Article. PM Narendra Modi in his speech at stadium in Jammu, just before Parliament election, did say that Article 370 should be discussed in public forums to evaluate its utility. Arun Jaitley made a statement during Assembly elections that no private investor would invest in a place where he cannot own the land. If such was the political ideology of the party, why did it suddenly change its stand? What was the necessity of making a statement on Art 370 by a Union Minister in Rajya Sabha ?
Is it not a breach of trust and injuring the sentiments of all those people who loved the party slogan Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan, Ek Vidhan? Heavens would have not fallen, had BJP not entered into an alliance with PDP .
