Arrangements of holy Chhari Yatra for Purmandal, Utterbehni discussed

JAMMU, Mar 14: A meeting was convened here at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex, Gandhi Nagar, in connection with the holy Chhari Mubarak Yatra on March 29, to the historical Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines.
The members from different organizations viz-a-viz Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, (Management Trust) Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Purmandal/Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee and also members of Tourism, Health, Public Works, R&B Handicrafts, Police & Rural Department along with the members of Municipal Corporation Jammu and Municipal Committee Bari-Brahmana attended the meeting.
It was decided that Jammu Municipal Corporation will take care of cleanliness, providing of drinking water near Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu etc. The PWD will repair the whole route of Chhari Yatra, while Tourism Department will arrange proper publicity and concerned Tourism Development Authority will ensure proper arrangements for the bathing Ghats, public convenience and other required facilities for the pilgrims at Utterbehni/ Purmandal.
Besides Rural Development Department, Handicraft Department and other concerned departments will arrange stalls for organizing exhibitions of local products and also perform other responsibilities concerning of their departments.
The Municipal Committee Bari-Brahmana will look after the cleaning of holy Devika and all area adjoining the shrines properly and PHE Department will ensure proper arrangement for drinking water enroute and near the shrines at Purmandal and Utterbehni.
The Police Department will make all the necessary arrangements from Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir, Jammu to Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar,
Jammu and especially proper arrangements from Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu from where the Chhari Mubarak Yatra will be taken out in rath accompanied by a procession of thousands of devotees upto Purmandal/Utterbehni Shrines.
