JAMMU, Mar 4: A joint meeting of Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dharmarth Trust, Heads of different Mandir committees and representatives of the administration was held today to finalize the arrangements for the “29th Chhari Mubarak Yatra to Purmandal Shrines” on Chetar Chaturdashi falling on 20th March.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, president, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) J&K and Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
During the meeting, it was decided that Nodal officer Manu Hansa (ACR Samba) will co-ordinate with all the concerned departments for the proper arrangements during the Yatra and three-day programme in which a large number of devotees are expected to visit the historical Shrines of Purmandal and Utterbehni.
The meeting also decided that Special Chhari Pooja will be performed on 19th of March at 5 PM at Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Jammu to be arranged by the Dharmarth Trust and on 20th March, the holy Chhari Yatra will be taken out from Ranbireshwar Temple by the Mahatmas led by Mahatma Rishi Ban at 7 AM sharp.
It was decided that after performing Pooja-Archana at Shri Raghunath Temple Jammu, the Holy Maces will reach at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar where a grand Pooja will be performed and after that the holy Chhari will be taken in a procession joined by large number of devotees to Purmandal Shrines via Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Ram Mandir Shastri Nagar, Shri Durga Mandir Rampura, Shiv Mandir Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash and Shri Narsing Dev Mandir Birpur.
“Special reception will be organized by the Muslim and Sikh brethren at Kharah Madana and after passing through the Mandal and other areas, the Chharri Mubarak will finally reach Purmandal shrines. After that Mahatmas along with other representatives will perform a special pooja at the historical Shiv Temple Purmandal and then the holy chharis will be kept in the Mandir Complex for ‘darshan’ of general public,” the meeting decided.
