KISHTWAR, Oct 15: Nearly 25 houses completely gutted in a major fire that broke out this evening in village Sukhnoi in Warwan area here late this evening.
According to police sources, the village where the incident took place is very remote and the police party has been dispatched to ascertain the cause and other action.
“Village Sukhnoi is far away from Warwan but near to Icheon and we have dispatched the concerned police officers to the spot”, they said, adding that so far as per their reports, nearly 25 houses were gutted in the devastating inferno.
They stated that it seems to be an accidental fire and besides houses, one religious structure is also reportedly damaged in inferno, adding that there are over 100 houses in village Sukhnoi.
“The men are on job and we have also contacted the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of the Army to provide relief and food to the affected families”, they added.
As there is poor signal and contact is being established with the police personnel deployed so more details are awaited, they said, adding that no injury or casualties were reported in the incident. The fire was still on, when last reports were compiled.
