JAMMU, Feb 11: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) MLA from Bishnah Ashwani Sharma today announced that Arnia would shortly get a degree college while its Primary Health Centre (PHC) would be upgraded to Sub District Hospital (SDH).
Addressing a massive public meeting at border town of Arnia, Mr Sharma said he has spoken to concerned Ministers and they have agreed to sanction degree college for Arnia shortly and upgrade the status of the PHC to the SDH shortly.
He added that he was vigorously pursuing the sanction of degree college for Arnia with the Government and it was matter of time when it would be sanctioned. The upgradation of PHC to SDH would also go a long way in mitigating health related problems of the people of border town, he said.
Mr Sharma said an outlet of LPG agency has been sanctioned for Arnia, which would help the people in procuring gas cylinders locally.
The MLA Bishnah said during past 11 years a lot of developmental works have been done in entire Bishnah Assembly segment, which have benefited the local people a lot.
He added that pace of development works would continue.
