Army to hold 5-day recruitment rally at Kargil from Jun 15

JAMMU, May 31: The Army is going to hold five-day long recruitment rally in Kargil district.
The Territorial Army Group Headquarter under the aegis of Army’s Northern Command will be organising recruitment rally for Soldier General Duty, Tradesmen (Chef community and Driver) categories from June 15 to June 20.
“The trade test will be held on June 17 while Medical exam will be held on June 16 followed by interview on June 18 to 20,” Defence Spokesperson, Col S D Goswami, here today said. He said that there are total 40 vacancies for Kargil and Leh Districts. Col Goswami said that the recruitment rallies will be held at Army Helipad Ground Kargil on June 15 for candidates from Leh districts and on June 16 for candidates from Kargil districts.
He said that earlier Army recruitment rallies were held at Surankot, Doda, Reasi, Anantnag, Baramulla and Kupwara in the last week of April to fill up 1305 vacancies. The results of which likely to be declassified in the last week of June, the spokesperson said.
Territorial Army recruitment rallies are being held in J&K for raising of three battalions of Engineer regiment, he added. The Army’s programmes have positive impact and youth in large numbers are joining Army in J&K.
