NEW DELHI : Stripped of his security cover, former Army Chief Gen V K Singh will be provided a few people by the Army to help in daily chores as a “courtesy”.
A few personnel would be provided to Gen V K Singh as helpers to help him in his daily chores, Army sources said here.
It is a courtesy extended to ex-Army Chiefs and ex-Colonels of Regiments, they said.

Recently, after reviewing the threat perception faced by the former Army Chief, who was provided Z’Plus’ security till November 30, Government decided against extending his protection cover.
The Army, which had provided seven vehicles including one bullet-proof car and around 35 trained personnel for his security, has withdrawn the security cover.
The decision in this regard was taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs in a meeting held in October first week and the Army Headquarters was intimated about it soon after.
Singh, who retired on May 31, Singh has been named in an FIR by the Delhi Police for his alleged role in protests against the gang rape of a girl in a moving bus on December 16.
Soon after his retirement, he was critical of the government on Lokpal and blackmoney issues.
