Army starts pre-recruitment training for Surankote youth

POONCH, Oct 3: Army today started 20-day pre-recruitment training for the youth of Surankote Tehsil at Jehran Wali Gali.
The training is aimed at preparing the youth as per the requirements of recruitment standards for the Army. In addition, to create additional employment opportunities in the corporate sector too, certain vocational and soft skills coaching have also been added in the curriculum apart from the basic physical fitness and written examination training.
The training imparted is expected to instill confidence and also improve the physical as well as written test standards of the candidates. Candidates are also looking at it as an opportunity to enhance and improve their personal and social conduct skills.
The local-friendly step taken by the Army will be creating more employment opportunities, lead to positive interaction, social development and foster healthy environment amongst the youth coming from far flung and isolated areas of Surankote tehsil of Poonch district.
The response to the initiative was overwhelming and the trainees were hopeful that the training imparted will help them succeed in enrollment in the Army, and Corporate Sector. Approximately 40 youths have joined the training so far.
