Srinagar, Oct 3: Army today said that there was overwhelming response to their recruitment rally at Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre Rangreth and 1500 youth from the State turned up.
The spokesman said that it was another very successful recruitment drive in the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre organised for two days on October 1 and 2 for enrolment as Soldier General Duty/ Tradesmen/ Clerk.
He said that the selected individuals who have cleared the physical screening, will now be put through a detailed medical examination and a Common Entrance Examination following which a merit will be drawn as per vacancies to shortlist the candidates who will join the Centre for recruit training.
