Army school student killed in road accident, youth found dead

KATHUA, Feb 21: The first day of school after COVID pandemic turned into the last day of life of an Army School student who was killed in road accident at Rajbagh on National Highway when he was on the way to school.
He was crossing the road to board a vehicle to attend the first day school after COVID pandemic holidays and was hit by a speedy car bearing Registration Number JK03K 4800 at Rajbagh . He was immediately shifted to GMC Kathua but succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Neeraj Jasrotia alias Akhil, son of Pawan Singh resident of Pambarma, Rajbagh.
The Rajbagh police seized the car and arrested the driver identified as Tosar Ahmed resident of Anantnag ,Kashmir. Police registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, an unknown youth was found dead in mysterious circumstances at village Badala today. The local people sighted the youth lying dead in a water body and informed the police. A police team reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
In the first instance the youth seemed to be drug addict and had fell unconscious after taking heavy dose of drugs. As the areas is dominated by drug peddlers.
Police shifted the body to GMC Kathua for identification and legal formalities.
