Army restores 1 more vital road-link in J&K

NEW DELHI, Sep 17:
After successfully opening the National Highway between Jammu and Srinagar, Army today restored one more vital road link between Rajouri and Budhal in the flood-hit State.
An Army spokesperson said here that their Engineers with the active support of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), restored the connectivity between the two important areas by constructing a 180 feet bailey bridge over Ans river at Kot Ranka.
Nearly 10,000 personnel of Army Engineers and BRO, equipped with over 400 dozers, besides 300 tippers and dumpers, have restored road links at over 1000 places. The Army has reconstructed a number of bridges across the state during the last few days, the spokesperson added. (AGENCIES)
