Army provides scholarships to students for NDA/CDA coaching

RAMBAN, Oct 5: In a unique initiative, Army unit located at Ramban and Nachlana provided scholarships to meritorious students for coaching of NDA/CDA.
At first an open entrance test for selection of various meritorious students from the different villages of the Ramban and adjoining district was conducted and on the basis of written test, top 10 students were selected for further scholarship and coaching. These students have formed elite group of ‘Bahadur Dus’.
In the second phase of the scholarship programme, these students were sent to “Lakshya Academy”, Jammu for the coaching facilities to clear entrance examination.
Under this unique initiative, Army is bearing the entire expenditure of food, accommodation and coaching for the selected students. Students are being prepared to qualify in the entrance examination for the NDA/CDA conducted by UPSC.
The scholarship programme also covers the entire expenditure till the coaching for the interview phase also. Various tips and training were imparted to these students in ‘Lakshya Academy’, Jammu for qualifying the written examination. The training included ‘Spoken English’ coaching and mock tests.
